With events held at over 120 small businesses across the city, Geek Week highlights the deep and vibrant Geek culture in Portland.
Geek Week PDX includes many different communities like gaming, film, art, supernatural, comics and more. Events are created by and held at businesses that celebrate each unique culture.
Geek Week encourages visitors to experience Portland as a local, and become fully immersed in their favorite Pop culture while exploring the city.
With the formal proclamation of Geek Week PDX by the Portland City Council, Geek Week has been embraced by community and business leaders alike.

Our Story
Geek Week PDX starts with a wondrous tale of adventure, mystery, magic and danger.
On a dark and stormy night, our humble wanderers began a simple quest. Discover the finest Comic Shop in the land… and get lunch.
Little did they know this simple quest would become an epic journey. From the Witches Castle to Wonder Wood Springs, our intrepid adventurers discovered countless magical mysteries. Encountering Books with Pictures that come to life, and the Gigantic Guardians who’s Games test your wit and resolve. Then surviving the Battlegrounds where the coffee is strong and the warriors are stronger. The intrepid explorers soon uncovered almost 200 small businesses that inspire the imagination. During their travels our heroes also found thousands of kindred spirits who gather in places of power during the Rose City’s Comic Con, never knowing that beyond the walls, that be Dragons and some pretty epic bars and restaurants.
In celebration of all that is wondrous a grand festival has been declared. All are welcomed to Geek Week PDX, where the streets come alive with parties, tournaments, markets and more. Join us as we celebrate the weird and wonderful small businesses throughout the Portland area.
