Create your own game and win prizes!

8 teams of 1 or 2 designers will be

tasked to create an original board

game in 5 days.

• Game must be for 4 players

• Entry Fee:  $30 per team.

MONDAY SEPT 9th:   Pick up your Game Kit between 4pm and 9pm at Battle Grounds.  When you come in you will be given a blank Game Design Kit from Ad Magic Print & Play.

• Draw a Random Game Theme.  (You will draw 2, and choose one of the.)

• Draw 3 Random Game Mechanics rules. Your game will be required to include at least 2 of those mechanics, but you can include others as you like beyond those 2.  

• Games must be for 4 players. You will have 10 to 15 mins to teach the rules on Saturday Game Sessions.  8 rounds will be held)

 

FRIDAY SEPT 13th, 4:00pm  - 8:00pm:  Designers will drop off their finished design.

 

SATURDAY SEPT 14th, 10:00 start:  Game play, voting and awards.

• Game play sessions with 8 sets of 4 players will play each game for a set amount of time in a round robin format.  After each game is played, players will fill out an evaluation form for the game they just finished.

• Designers must be at the event all day to teach players about each game.

Once all the games have been played and scored, awards will be given for several categories such as Fan Favorite, Most Original Design, Closest to Theme and Mechanics, Best Overall Aesthetic, Best Rules/Teach, Most Fun Overall, etc…
