From quirky collectibles to magical wonders, the crew at Geek Week PDX has compiled a list of some of our favorite shops to explore and discover the perfect gift for the nerd (or nerds) in your life.
Portland is home to dozens of Game Stores, Comic Shops and specialty retailers that offer unique, sublime and even bizarre goodies. Here are a couple of our favorite spots:
Parallel Worlds Book Store: Portland's only book store dedicated to Sci-Fi and Fantasy, they have an amazing selection of new, used, rare and vintage tomes for the Book Nerd on your list.
Portland Pop Shop: Portland's largest inventory of Funko products, Pokemon/TCG/Sports cards, Hot Wheels & other die cast, plus 1000's of overall pop culture collectibles.
Through the Veil: Hidden in Hillsboro this shop specializes in Wicca, Witchcraft or Occult Supplies, Fashion, Jewelry, and Oddities. They also have the best decorations this side of Halloween.
Another State of Mind: Portland's original Punk Rock Shop. Clothing and Accessories for the spike and stud crowd at your holiday gatherings. You won't find holiday cheer here - It's more Krampus than Kris Kringle.
Dr.Tongue’s I HAD THAT SHOPPE!: Specializes in Character Toys from the 50s up to “around” 1994. Besides a great selection of toys and related items, the new store also has a nice selection of items for your Family Room, Rumpus Room or
Game Cave.
